Spaghetti Western Locations

Continuing with “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” film locations, After Blondie escaped from Tuco’s lynching and Tuco’s pursuit. He finds Blondie teamed up with another wanted bandit to continue the gamturning in the wanted outlaw for the bounty on their head and then Blondie’s rescuing of the same outlaw when the hanging takes place. Tuco finds Blondie about to shoot the rope from around the neck of Shorty. “Sorry Shorty.” This site is an actual village called Cortijada Higo Seco. Take the road from Los Albaricoques on the left you will see a dirt road in disrepair. Follow the road to what is left of the village which is mainly ruins. If you cross the gully back towards the main road you can lay on the water cistern that Tuco interrupted Clint’s shot from. The agave plant seen in the film is still there.

  1. Yes, I'm afraid so. When I was there in 2005 a few people still lived in the village and some cars, trucks and dogs were present at the site.
