Happy 85th Birthday Remo De Angelis

Remo De Angelis was born on July 28, 1926 in Rome, Italy. He appeared in 44 films but he was more important behind the scenes in most of the films he participated in. De Angelis was one of the best stunt coordinators and stuntmen in Italian film history. He was an assistant director and master of arms on many of the Spaghetti westerns and action films made in Italy. He was also involved in special effects and was an instructor to many of the actors in the use of guns and swords. Some of his better known films were "Duel at the Rio Grande" (1963), "Django" (1965), "The Great Silence" and "The Mercenary" (both 1968), "The Belle Starr Story" (1968), "A Man Called Sledge" (1970) and "Blindman" (1971). After leaving the film industry in the early 1980s he became a well know artist and his paintings have been exhibited across Italy. Today we celebrate Remo De Angelis’ 85th birthday.
