Remmbering Pino Ferrara


Giuseppe ‘Pino’ Ferrara was born on March 11, 1929 in Padova, Veneto, Italy. He began his acting career by appearing on stage for several years. He worked in the theater in the company of Peppino De Filippo.
 
Pino then went into film acting in over 50 films among which were five Euro-westerns from “Il bandolero stanco” (1952) to “The Crazy Adventures of Len and Coby” (1974).
 
In 1966 he was part of the cast of the television series ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’, while in 1972 he participated in ‘The Adventures of Pinocchio’, directed by Luigi Comencini. In 1978 he was then starred in the soap opera ‘Il balordo’ with Tino Buazzelli, adapted from the novel by Piero Chiara. He then took part in the Italian television series ‘Doctor Who’ (from the first to the fifth season of the series, 1998-2000-2003-2004-2007) alongside Lino Banfi.
 
Ferrara died in Rome on August 8, 2011, at the age of 82, after a long illness.
 
Today we remember Pino Ferrara on what would have been his 85th birthday.
