Enrica Bianchi Colombatto was born in Gargnano sul Lago di Garda, Brescia, Lombardy, Italy on July 22, 1942. The daughter of Roberto Bianchi, inventor and manufacturer of the maxi Fd
"Aleir". The beautiful and redhead moved to Rome to work in the film industry as an actress.
 
She began he film career in 1964 , making the appearance in the film by Tinto Brass “Il disco volante” with Alberto Sordi, Silvana Mangano, Monica Vitti , Eleonora Rossi Drago and Lello Bersani. Blanc becomes a partner with actor Alberto Lionello [1930-1984] (until his death), an animal lover (especially dogs and cats) and in the 1970s turns to the world of television, working mainly in horror as in the episode "La bambola della serie" in the TV series ‘La porta sul buio’ (1973) and "Night in the House of Usher” in the series ‘The Fantastic Tales of Edgar Allan Poe’ ( 1979) by Daniele D' Anza, but is also remembered for the miniseries ‘Puzzle’ (1978) by Pino Guido with Stagnaro Colizzi.
 
In 1983, she took part in the musical film directed by Gabriele Salvatores “Sogno di una notte d'estate”, but continues to favor the small screenProfumo di classe’ (1984); ‘Quando arriva il giudice’ (1986) by Giulio Questi with Mimsy Farmer, Anna Galiena, Therese Ann Savoy, Renato Scarpa and Toni Ucci; ‘L'edera’ (1992) by Fabrizio Costa with Agnese Nano, Vanni Corbellini, Maria Rosaria Omaggio, Clarissa Burt, Nicola Farron and Marina Giulia Cavalli; ‘Papà prende moglie’ (1994) by Nini Salerno with Marco Columbro and Leo e Beo (1998).
 
After a long absence from the big screen, she’ back in the limelight thanks to a minor role in the film “Le fate ignoranti” (2001) directed by Ferzan Ozpetek with Stefano Accorsi, Andrea Renzi, Gabriel Garko and Filippo Nigro. Her character is that of an eccentric mother of Margherita Buy, a widow who has just discovered that her deceased husband had an affair with another man. But it is with “Cuore sacro” (2005), with the same director she receives nomination for Best Supporting Actress for the David di Donatello and the Nastro d'Argento for the role of Aunt Maria Clara, locked up in an institution by her sister, played by Lisa Gastoni. Now rediscovered her cinematic and television career expands as in “Voci” (2000) by Franco Giraldi and “Non ho l'età 2” (2002) by Giulio Base with Marco Columbro, Eliana Miglio, Raffaele Pisu, Enzo Cannavale, Enzo Garinei, Novello Novelli, Gianfranco Jannuzzo, Gisella Burinato, Anna Orso and Renzo Rinaldi. Blanc also appears in numerous fiction “Francesco”, “La casa dell'angelo”, “Fratelli” and “Caccia segreta”, receiving the Silver Ribbon for her best supporting actress role in “Il più crudele dei giorni” (2003). Her crowning achievement for her 50 year career was as Mrs. Gemma in the TV series ‘Carabinieri’ (2002-2008) which allowed her to play opposite such renowned actors as Andrea Roncato, Alex Partexano, Paolo Villaggio, Maurizio Casagrande, Walter Nudo, the late Vincenzo Crocitti, Martina Colombari, Dario Vergassola, Francesco Giuffrida, Ettore Bassi, Aurora Cancian, the showgirl Manuela Arcuri and Pino Caruso. She also took part in “Lo zio d'America 2” (2006) by Rossella Izzo with Christian De Sica, Lorella Cuccarini and Eleonora Giorgi, while cinematically is chosen by Pupi Avati for the moviesUna sconfinata giovinezza” (2010) and “Il cuore grande delle ragazze” (2011).
 
Erica was married to director, screenwriter Bruno Gaburro [1939- ] from 1962-1977 and is the mother of actress Barbara Blanc.
