Who Are Those Guys? - Donald Brenon




John Donald Brenon was born in St. Louis Missouri on September 3, 1925. Don was a part time actor making his first credited film “The Star Maker” in 1939. He married actress Gertrude Marie ‘Trudi’ Jansen in 1946. After both of their acting careers started to wane, Don and Trudi retired to Sonora, California in 1963 where they opened Brenon's Western Store in downtown Sonora.

Don often appeared in cameo and character roles in movies filmed in and around Sonora including the 1988 Euro-western “Blood Red” playing a freight clerk.

Don died in Sonora on December 22, 2013, preceded by Trudi who died the year before.
