RIP Vittorio Fanfoni



Italian film and television actor Vittorio Fanfoni died in Piacenza, Italy on June 12th. He was 72. Fanfoni was born in Piacenza in 1944 and always dreamed of becoming an actor and starring in films with great directors. Instead he settled for a long career in B-movies starting in 1968 and little more than a decade in 1979 he returned home. During that stretch he appeared in over 90 films and TV series. Among which were 21 Euro-westerns including: “Django Kill.. Kill First”,”Trinity is STILL My Name”, “Return of Sabata”, “Joe Dakota” (all 1971), “The Return of Clint the Stranger” (1972), “The Genius” (1975) and “Macho Killers” (1977).

  1. Biltmore: He had the curse of graduating from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. Misused by Italian producers who only wanted him for his C.S.C. tax credit. They preyed upon the vulnerable like Scratuglia, Mancini & Fanfoni.
